Passenger information, video surveillance, control subsystems, and other railway applications are demanding.  Trains, particularly, require strong reliability and safety.  Few embedded computers meet these demands, but the tBOX300-510 from Axiomtek meets this challenge.  For processing, choose between a 7th generation Intel Celeron, i3, i5, or i7 CPU. Each processor offers capable computing inside an energy-efficient enclosure.  Two Value-Added Module (VAM) slots allow you to personalize the system by adding plug-in cards for Power over Ethernet (PoE), isolated RS-232/422/485, Can Bus 2.0, digital I/O, wireless technologies, video, and audio.  With these I/O interfaces, you may create unique configurations that can access the large variety of I/O found in railway systems.  Secure, locking M12 connectors are also available for maximum stability.

Getting railway certification isn’t easy.  However, this box PC is compliant with CE (Class A), FCC, EN 50155, EN 50121, EN 45545-2, IEC 60945, E-Mark, ISO 7637-2, and DNV2.4.  It mitigates the vibrations, shocks, electromagnetic conditions, and power surges necessary for operating on a train.  It passes regulatory standards and is compliant with European fire testing.  This computer operates nominally at extremely high and low temperatures.   Select from three power inputs:  24 to 110 VDC for rail, 12/ 24 VDC for vehicles, and 24 VDC for marine.  These rugged features guarantee the rough life of railway and train operations won’t hamper performance.
