There are jobs in the world that are just too harsh for most modern technology. Working in industrial painting or underground mines in volatile atmospheres are just a pair of environments that require equipment far beyond typical industrial-grade durability. For the most taxing of these environments, Axiomtek has a line of computers that are both ATEX and Class 1, Division 2 certified. They work nominally where no other machines can go.
ATEX and Class 1, Division 2 compliant PCs are made for some of the most extreme operating environments imaginable. Like the rBOX510, they are rated for work in explosive atmospheres, which makes them perfect for mining, chemical plants, turbine controls and other fields with flammable vapors. Every computer in the line uses wide-range 12 to 48V DC power that is amply shielded from surge and shock. The DIN-rail mounting assures stability even in unstable workplaces and the operational temperatures range from 40 below to 70°C.
Each computer in Axiomtek’s line is outfitted with an extra low power processor. A range of input/output configurations enables the rBOX101 and the rest of the series to adapt to virtually any network configuration. They support AXView software that is designed for monitoring, remote management, Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine to Machine (M2M) applications.
