Intelligent transportation has its own technological demands. For that work, embedded railway rated computers are the way to go. These rugged computers are as tough as they are powerful.  They are compliant to EN50155, EN50121-3-2 and EN50121-4 rail standards and IEC 60945 shipboard standards.  They are perfectly suited for virtually any rolling stock, vehicle, marine or transit application.

Combining Convenience and Performance

Railway PCs come with certain expectations, but they aren’t always easy to incorporate. The tBOX311 solves this and other problems all at once. For starters, the vehicle PC is outfitted with an intelligent 80W vehicle power supply that is resistant to transportation dangers and easy to install.

 

The isolated CAN bus and RS-232/422/485 ports make connectivity a breeze. More importantly, the CompactFlash socket and HDD bay are easily accessible for fast data swapping. The whole thing is housed in a heavy-duty enclosure that protects against shock and vibration. Most importantly, the fanless design is still operational in extreme temperature ranges. For bigger jobs, the tBOX313 utilizes a quad-core Intel Atom processor that expands the computer’s processing capabilities without driving up power consumption. The power input is certified against electrical transient damage, and the vehicle box supports isolated serial, Ethernet LAN, CAN bus and digital I/O ports. Three separate PCIe mini slots and two SIM slots give you all of the adaptive I/O capacity you could need. Backed by an optional 5-year warranty, it’s a clear comprehensive solution for transportation computation.
