How Will You Contribute to the Company?

We are seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team of sales professionals to grow revenue. The responsibilities include managing customer accounts, tracking sales opportunities, lead follow-up, and quoting. The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm for technology, excellent customer service skills, effective sales techniques, and be a fast learner. What Will You Do?

The Inside Sales Representative agrees to work with Westward on a variety of inside technical sales tasks that include, but are not limited to,

  • Help achieve revenue growth objectives through sales of industrial products and services.
  • Follow up with customers via phone, e-mail, and online meetings to qualify and close sales opportunities, understand requirements, establish OEMs, and track projects. You will not need to cold call.
  • Communicate and articulate the value of working with Westward Sales to potential customers.
  • Create and send quotes to customers and respond to RFI and RFP requests
  • Maintain professional relationships with manufacturers and work with them to serve customers.
  • Organize and keep accurate records in our CRM and ERP databases to forecast, track projects, set target accounts, and record correspondences.
  • Maintain a monthly forecast and create sales reports as needed
  • Develop a knowledgeable level of our products, services, technology, and applications.
  • Complete sales certifications (training paid by the company).
  • Regular in-office attendance and work-from-home available.

Qualifications

  • Two years (minimum) of sales experience, preferably in a technology environment
  • Experience working in a collaborative sales environment
  • Understanding of sales channels, distribution, and IT sales
  • CRM and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) experience
  • Demonstrated selling and business development skills
  • Understanding the consultative, solution-based sales methodology, e.g., SPIN selling, Miller Heiman, etc.
  • High attention to detail
  • Follow directions and receive coaching and feedback
  • Excellent communication skills and a positive mindset
  • Ability to work independently and with a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Successful sales experience in B2B, IT, or electronics
  • STEM or business degree

Compensation

The salary offered depends on several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, experience, and hours per week. A salary or hourly wage is available. The range is

  $52,000 - $83,000+

Pay also includes the opportunity for yearly sales incentives based on achieved revenue goals and objectives.
