By incorporating D-Link Green technology, the DXS-1210-12SC is capable of saving power without sacrificing operational performance or functionality. The switch features built-in smart fans with internal heat sensors that monitor and detect temperature changes and react accordingly by utilizing different fan speeds for different temperatures. At lower temperatures, the fans will run slower, reducing the switch’s power consumption and noise.

The DXS-1210-12SC includes layer 2 features such as port mirroring, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP. It also supports IP interfaces, ARP, IPv6 Neighbor Discovery (ND), default routing, IPv4/IPv6 statis routing, IGMP and MLD Snooping, auto voice and surveillance, VLAN, LLDP,and LLDP-MED. Inter-VLAN routing allows traffic to be routed between VLANs without passing through the router, reducing the load on the router as well as the backbone networks. Security controls to help on protection of the newtork, and QoS helps ensure essential traffic reaches its destination.
