The Sierra Wireless AirLink MG90 5G is a high-performance, multi-network cellular router developed for mobile applications. The MG90 5G delivers massive amounts of real-time data required by mission-critical mobile networks. It’s ideal for always-on Vehicle Area Networks (VAN) implemented by public buses, computer rail, ambulance and EMS, police cars, fire trucks, and utility vehicles. With AirLink Mobility Manager (AMM) and the AirLink Connection Manager (ACM) cloud-based platforms, you get a completely secure, managed solution for demanding applications.
The MG90 5G offers up to 4.14 Gbps downlink and 660 Mbps uplink speeds over the 5G cellular network with fallback to LTE Cat 20. The radios may be configured as dual 2x2 MIMO or single 4x4 MIMO 5G LTE. Two dual-concurrent 3x3 MIMO Gigabit Wi-Fi radios deliver reliable connectivity with extensions to Land Mobile Radio (LMR) and satellite systems. The MG90 5G dynamically selects the best available network using an intelligent defined policy and effortlessly switches between WAN connections, providing uninterrupted communications and no downtime. Purpose-built for vehicles with a ruggedized form factor, the MG90 5G delivers best-in-class reliability and ensures continual operation in harsh mobile environments.
Network management solutions for the AirLink MG90 allow remote monitoring, control, registration, configuration, and software updates. These tools may be deployed in a cloud-based service or in a licensed enterprise data center to provide a centralized view of vehicle fleets deploying MG90 5G routers and multi-network security.
![]() | Device ManagementThe MG90 5G seamlessly integrates with the AirLink Mobility Manager (AMM) - an end-to-end cloud-based management package offering simplified, remote configuration, real-time data collection and control, coverage maps, reporting, and troubleshooting. It also connects mobile assets to vehicle tracking, telemetry, and asset management.
VPNThe AirLink Connection Manager (ACM) is a mobile-optimized VPN solution that securely extends the enterprise network to the vehicle. It enables the MG90 5G to consolidate security for all connectivity in the vehicle area network (VAN), vastly simplifying deployment and control over network access and connected mobile assets.
