The IPC964A is a modular industrial edge system featuring flexible expansion capabilities. The highly expandable edge computer is powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core processor (codename: Alder Lake-S) with the Intel Q670E chipset. The intelligent edge computing system supports power levels of up to 200 W for add-in cards, such as NVIDIA graphics cards, enhancing performance acceleration. Ity also enables seamless 5G connectivity for next-gen communication. Certified by EN 61000-6-2 regulation, the IPC964A offers durable design, longevity of product life cycle, and high immunity for heavy-loading industrial environments. With fast and flexible deployment capabilities, this highly adaptable industrial computer can quickly and efficiently respond to changes or new circumstances for diverse applications in AI, vision inspection, objective classification, and factory automation.
The IPC964A has flexible expansion options. It has one optional I/O expansion module slot and I/O module options include Axiomtek's AX93511, AX93512, AX93516, AX93519, and MIO160. It is equipped with 4 PCIe/PCI slots for integrating diverse add-on cards, such as I/O cards, motion cards, vision cards, and GPU cards to support machine control and vision applications or automated optical inspection (AOI). The IPC964A supports up to 200 W power for add-on card with the Axiomtek EIO141 module (1 PCIe x16 Gen 4 + 1 PCIe x8/x4 Gen 3 + 2 PCIe x4 Gen 4) and EIO142 module (1 PCIe x16 Gen 4 + 1 PCIe x4 Gen 4 + 2 PCI). This IPC computer has a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +60°C and a wide range of power input from 18 to 36 VDC for operation in mission-critical environments.
The IPC964A is designed to deliver efficiency, productivity, and ruggedness across industries. It is equipped with dual DDR5 4800/4000 SO-DIMM for up to 96 GB of system memory. By supporting two 2.5" HDD/SSD with Intel RST supported and one optional M.2 Key M 2280 socket (PCIe x4 Gen 4), this high-performance industrial computer delivers sufficient storage for massive data processing. It also supports Intel VMD for enterprise-grade management of NVMe SSD. It also offers one full-size PCI Express Mini Card slot with SIM slot and one M.2 Key E 2230 socket for Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/LTE modules. One M.2 Key B 3042/3050/3052/3060 socket with SIM slot is also available for 5G module (Intel Q670E) while there are more and more 5G needs to reach the market. It supports intelligent power management to control the ACC ignition, remote power, and remote LED. It also supports TPM 2.0 for security through major data encryption priorities.
The intelligent edge computing system supports rich I/O options, including one 2.5GbE LAN port (Intel I226V), one GbE LAN port with Intel AMT, one RS-232/422/485, six USB 3.2 Gen2x1 (10G) ports, one internal USB 2.0 port, one DisplayPort++, one HDMI with 4096 x 2304 resolution, one DVI-D with 1920 x 1200 resolution, one 3.5 mm jack for Mic-in and Line-out, one switch for power on/off with LED (default ATX), 4-pin terminal block for DC input, and 4-pin terminal block for ignition control.
