The R2100 Series 5G Ruggedized Router is designed for vehicle and IoT deployments. This high-bandwidth, exterior-mounted solution provides mass transit, public safety, and other organizations optimal cellular performance in a uniquely flexible form factor. It is designed to be mounted on the rooftop of a vehicle or attached to IoT cabinet enclosures. The Ericsson Cradlepoint R2100 5G router with Cat 20 performance & NetCloud. Integrates modem, antennas, & router in a rugged casing. The R2100 integrates the modem, antennas, and router into a single aerodynamic, IP67-rated casing that protects against weather, vibration, and shock allowing for simplified deployment. It is available with or without Wi-Fi 6 and can be deployed as a self-contained router or to supplement an existing router as a 5G adapter. Since antenna cables are no longer needed, many vehicle installations will only require one power cable and a single small hole to the router on the roof.
The R2100 Series is part of a NetCloud Mobile Performance or NetCloud Ruggedized IoT Package. Ericsson NetCloud provides connectivity, network, security, and location services to connect everything in the vehicle or IoT deployment while providing access to IT for remote management, troubleshooting, and analytics. When coupled with the Advanced Mobile Performance service plan, organizations gain a full suite of security and AVL capabilities, including threat management, web filtering, application visibility, analytics, and advanced GNSS/GPS functionality with location tracking and cellular coverage maps. The Ericsson Cradlepoint R2100 can also support the NetCloud Exchange services, which provide Zero Trust Network Access and 5G Optimized SD-WAN.
Customers can add 5G to a current installation by deploying the R2100 series as a Captive Modem with supported Ericsson Cradlepoint controlling routers. This allows them both to be managed in a NetCloud Manager as a single entity. The NetCloud management system treats the Ericsson Cradlepoint R2100 as an internal modem, eliminating the need for a separate license. Similarly, for select controlling routers, the R2100 Series can serve as an additional Wi-Fi source in captive mode to expand coverage for applications such as video offload. The R2100 Series can be PoE powered while providing a high-performance 5G connection over Ethernet.
Enable your R2100 with a cost-effective monthly data plan to ensure your router is ready to deploy. Select Verizon, T-Mobile, or AT&T, and the data plan size from 100 MB to Unlimited GB. You are billed monthly; there’s no long-term contract. Plus, manage all of your fielded gateways from a single cloud-based web portal.
