The Ericsson Cradlepoint RX30-MC managed dock mates to the R1900 5G cellular router to provide a 4-port Gigabit Ethernet switch and an expansion slot for the MC400 modem. It’s a perfect way to increase the network capacity of the R1900, giving it a total of eight Ethernet ports and two cellular modems.
The Ericsson Cradlepoint RX30 is built tough for mobile and industrial environments where temperature extremes, irregular power, shock, and vibration are common. The 6-pin GPIO and power cable, included in the box, supply power to both the RX30 managed accessory and the R1900 router attached to it.
Connecting the RX30 and R1900 is straightforward. Align the port to the receiver on the RX30-MC and set the R1900 on top of it. The receiver is keyed and will align with the port in one direction. Reposition the R1900 until the two devices sit flush against each other. Secure the devices with the M3 screws, which go into the middle holes on the front and rear.
