A simple way of connecting IP cameras and devices to your Power over Ethernet (PoE) network is with the CopperLink Model 2110/PSE/EUI injector and extender from Patton Electronics. This convenient dual-purpose device doubles the maximum distance of a Power over Ethernet (PoE) run from 328 feet (100 meters) to 656 feet (200 meters). Up to four 2110/PSU/EUI extenders may be daisy-chained to extend the distance to a maximum of 1,640 ft (500 meters). The 2110/PSE/EUI also serves as a PoE injector by connecting and powering PoE end devices compliant to the IEEE802.3af specifications (Class 3/0, 15 watts). It accepts a standard Fast Ethernet (10/100TX) RJ45 line and outputs data and power over a PoE port. In this way, an injector eliminates the need for a separate power cable. Network traffic passes through without interruption, latency, or degradation to the network connection, ensuring 100 Mbps full-duplex speed.
The 2110/PSE/EUI is an affordable way to connect distance Powered Devices (PD) because it eliminates additional switches, wireless access points, and expensive fiber installations.
