The CopperLink Model 2110/P from Patton Electronics doubles the maximum distance of a Power over Ethernet (PoE) run from 328 feet (100 meters) to 656 (200 meters). Up to four 2110/P Ethernet boosters may be placed in-line to further extend the distance to 1,640 ft (500 meters). It forwards power and data to the connected PoE device. The 2110/P eliminates the need for additional switches, hubs, wireless access points, and expensive fiber installations. The extender operates on any standard Fast Ethernet network and is entirely transparent to the PoE protocol, making it truly plug-and-play. It will not cause latency or degradation on your network connections, ensuring the maximum 100 Mbps full-duplex line rate.
The PoE capability powers the extender and peripheral device over a standard twisted-pair Ethernet cable. The Model 2110/P is ideal for extending the reach of Powered Devices (PD) such as wireless access points, IP cameras, and VoIP phones.
