One popular model, the MAKO LPMM4-6-60, consists of four 4x4 MIMO 5G cellular antennas integrated into a hardened, surface-mount radome. This 4-in-1 multi-antenna operates within the 617 to 6000 MHz frequency range and works with the latest generation of Cat 18 LTE routers and modems. Although the LTE elements are designed for 4x4 MiMo operation, it is possible to split these into two pairs of 2x2 MIMO for routers with dual SIM cards for a failover configuration, i.e., only one active SIM at any time. (Note: it is not intended for routers with concurrent SIM cards or aggregated data operation, as there is insufficient isolation between the MIMO pairs.) Choose from black (LPMM4B-6-60) or white (LPMM4-6-60) color.

The aerodynamic radome is certified to IP69K for ingress protection and IK10 for impact resistance. It stands up to shock, vibration, weather, and extreme temperatures. The MAKO is ground plane independent making it suitable for placement on conductive and non-conductive surfaces. The assembly fastens to the top vehicle or cabinet through a single mounting hole. Cables run inside the hollow threaded bolt for protection and a clean installation. The radome is manufactured with Halogen-free flame-retardant materials, and the 1-foot RG174 low-loss cables are UNECE R118 and EN45545-2 compliant. The MAKO LPMM4-6-60 (cellular only) and LPMDM4-6-60-24-58 (cellular and WiFi) antennas stand up to the worst environments. That’s why FirstNet and other critical safety networks count on the MAKO series for their wireless needs.

The antenna includes 1-foot RF cables; however, this length is often too short for most installations, particularly vehicles. So for longer cables, consider the LP-IN2443 antenna kit which includes this LPMM4-6-60 antenna and 5-meter long cables (one cable for each antenna element) terminating with SMA connectors.
