Antaira LEP-401M-KIT Industrial Power over Ethernet Extender Pair up to 800 meters with PoE

Antaira Technologies’ LEP-401M-KIT contains both LEP-401M-L and LEP-401M-R. The former is a long reach transceiver with one Ethernet port and one PoE Long Reach injector port, and the latter is a long reach receiver with one PoE Long Reach Extender port and one PoE PSE Ethernet port. The local unit (-L) supports 55-57VDC power inputs and feeds both power and data to the remote unit. The remote unit (-R) then provides 10/100Base-TX Ethernet and power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3at standard or non-standard ‘passive PoE’) to the connected standard or non-standard powered devices (PD).

The LEP-401M-KIT is greatly beyond the 100 meters distance limitation of RJ45 cable. Up to 800 meters the data and power can be transmitted simultaneously over the UTP cable. This kit is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u, 802.3af/at standards. Operation status can be locally monitored through a set of diagnostic LEDs located in the front and rear panels.

LEP-401M-L (Local Unit) & LEP-401M-R (Remote Unit) are the best choice when there is no power available at the remote side or when providing power at the remote is difficult or expensive. Moreover, these extenders are particularly designed for harsh environments, such as industrial networking, traffic surveillance, security automation applications, IP surveillance, city security, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) and are also suitable for many military or utility market applications where environmental conditions exceed commercial product specifications.
