The Edge MP-1015 radio is a member of Proxim’s PNP (Point-to-Point) Edge 1000 Series, which offer reliable and secure wireless connectivity for critical wireless applications like public safety, intelligent transportation, video surveillance, and broadband access. It can be configured as a point-to-point or multipoint endpoint or base station.

Advanced security of the MP-1015 supports AES-256 encryption with Radius and secure management through SSL/ TLS1.2, SSH, SNMPv3, and 802.1X authentication. These protocols protect data and prevent unauthorized access. VLAN tagging and QoS (Quality of Service) are native features providing efficient network management, optimization, latency controls, IGMP snooping, and multicast support. Proxim’s highly efficient Wireless Outdoor Router Protocol (WORP) enables the most efficient wireless broadband access possible in a packet-based network. Proxim ClearConnect and BlueConnect are handy time-saving apps for device management, fast and efficient setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

The Edge MP-1015 is designed with advanced radio technology allowing it to operate in demanding conditions with electrical interference, severe weather, and long distances. It has an effective throughput of 100 Mbps but can reach 200 Mbps with an optional software license. The Edge MP-1015 operates in the 5.0 GHz bands over 20, 40, and 90 MHz channel sizes for penetrating noisy environments. The unit includes an integrated 4x4 MIMO 35-degree dual-polarity high-gain antenna with external SMA connectors mounted on the bottom for external directional antennas. The IP67-rated metal enclosure ensures years of reliable service in harsh environments, including high winds, high salt, and temperature extremes. The Edge MP-1015 is similar to the MP-1045, which features one 4.9 to 5 GHz radio and 2x2 MIMO antennas.
