The SAB-224 magnetic mounting base fits the GPSD, GPSDC, and FINDC range of SharkFin style antennas. It’s a convenient and quick way to attach these antennas to a vehicle roof or trunk top and is an ideal temporary mounting solution for antenna trials and drive-testing.
Using two heavy-duty magnets fitted to an aluminum alloy plate, it affixes securely to metal surfaces and avoids the need to drill a mounting hole. The SAB-224 does not offer a suitable ground plane if you plan to attach an additional VHF or UHF whip antenna.
