Approved High-Performance Antennas for the IBR200 Router

The Ericsson Cradlepoint IBR200 cellular router includes two LTE antennas for the Main and Aux connectors and one WiFi antenna. It does not support GPS. In certain situations, alternative antennas are necessary to improve performance or to offer better mounting. Outdoor, mobile, and remote locations may require the LTE antennas to be elevated on a pole or mounted securely to a vehicle’s surface. These omnidirectional antennas are high-performance, rugged cellular antennas from top antenna manufacturers. They are all Ericsson Cradlepoint-approved and compatible with the IBR200 router.

Connecting an antenna to the Main and Aux ports is recommended for best throughput, predictable behavior, and enhanced LTE performance. However, you may connect a SISO antenna to the Main connector to save money, power, and space and restrict bandwidth. In most cases, a single cellular antenna will establish communication.
