The ATAC BT432-A is an industrial Bluetooth to serial adapter designed to convert an RS-232 or RS-422/RS-485 serial stream to a short-range wireless connection. The compact module contains a Bluetooth v2.1 core interface, radio electronics, antenna, and management software. It is ideal for surveying equipment, machine-to-machine (M2M) communication, system diagnostics, point-of-sale systems, and remote monitoring. It is often paired with a smartphone to allow it to monitor the console port of a system.
The BT423 transmits data up to 100 meters with the standard 2.4 - 2.483 GHz modular antenna. Optional higher gain antennas will allow it to communicate with devices at further distances. ATAC’s Configuration Utility runs on a standard Windows-based computer to set up the unit and read and write data.
