The STE-502C from Antaira Technologies is a dual-port gateway between Ethernet (TCP/IP) and serial communications. By connecting a serial device to a new or existing Ethernet network, industrial field devices may be monitored, managed, and controlled remotely. The unit converts serial data to Ethernet packets, providing full-duplex, bi-directional data transmission. Capable of using either RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 serial communication standards, the STE-502C is ideal for upgrading industrial serial devices to modern communication networks.
