The MSC-202A1-V2, from Antaira Technologies, is an RS-232 PCI Express card that adds 2 ports of serial communication to industrial computers, rack mount servers, and desktops. It may function as a client or server to connect older serial based equipment like bar code scanners, card readers, instruments and sensors. It has two male DB-9 front panel connectors with pins to supply 5V and 12V power.
The MSC-202A1-V2 software supports Windows and Linux operating systems. With the PCI plug-and-play wizard found on the CD, installation is easy. The wizard will recognize the board and install the device driver software automatically. You'll be up and running in minutes.
