Antaira MSC-208A1 8-Port RS-232 PCI Express Card with Powered Ports

The MSC-208A1, manufactured by Antaira Technologies, is an RS-232 PCI Express (PCIe) interface card that adds 8 ports of serial communication to industrial computers, rack mount servers and desktops.  Built for serial intense applications, it functions as client or server to connect serial equipment like point-of-sale devices, meters, scanners, card readers and instruments.   The VHDCI-68 front panel connector cables to eight DB-9 connectors.  The DB-9s offer power pins to supply 5V and 12V.  The MSC-208A1 hosts the Oxford Semiconductor single-chip PCIe interface which increases throughput and reduces CPU utilization.
