The LNX-1002C-SFP 10-port industrial Ethernet switch features 8 RJ45 Fast Ethernet ports (10/100TX) and 2 combo ports with Gigabit SFP slots for fiber optic connections. A combo port is a pair of RJ45 Fast Ethernet and SFP slots. Only one port of the pair may be enabled at a time. A combo port shares the same internal switch fabric and the same port name (G1 and G2). There are 12 physical ports on the front panel of which 10 are usable at any given time.
An industrial switch must stand up to wide temperature swings, dust, humidity and unstable power – conditions typical at remote sites and on factory floors. The LNX-1002C-SFP does. It offers redundant power input, high electrostatic discharge (ESD) immunity and protection from voltage and current surges. To make the troubleshooting and maintenance simpler, the DIN-rail mount LNX-1002C-SFP is equipped with a relay alarm to alert the maintenance crew of a port or power failure. The normal operating temperature range is from -10 to 70° C. For severe temperature, select the optional extended version, the LNX-1002C-SFP-T, which operates from -40 to 75° C. Without managed features, integration into a network is simple. There’s no extra cost and burden of a more complicated managed switch.
