The MSC-204A2, by Antaira Technologies, is an RS-232 PCI Express (PCIe) card that adds 4 ports of serial communication to desktop computers, industrial servers and workstations. It may function as a client or server to connect serial based hardware like scanners, RFID card readers, instruments and serial sensors. A break out cable expands the front panel connector to four male DB-9 connectors. DB-9 power pins are available to supply 5V and 12V. The MSC-204A2 is 16C950 and 16C550 UART compatible and fits any standard x1 PCIe slot. It supports data framing, flow control and a baud rate to 921.6 Kbps.
The MSC-204A2 software includes support for Windows and Linux operating systems. The plug-and-play wizard located on the CD makes installation quick and easy. It will recognize the card and install the correct device driver software automatically. You'll be communicating in minutes.
