Older industrial OEM and automated equipment provide companies with reliable and durable operations that have stood the test of time. However, these legacy systems lack network connectivity. They cannot gain additional functionality controls, data retrieval, system monitoring, and troubleshooting features because they are unable to connect to the company's data network system. The NP301 serial-to-Ethernet device server from 3onedata Company offers connectivity that industrial operations need by providing full system access. It networking functions to legacy equipment without having to upgrade or invest in newer, costly systems.
NP301 serial device server offers a centralized network location when other serial devices and hosts are situated in different locations in the company. The device supports multiple network protocols -- TCP, UDP, ARP, ICMP, HTTP, DNS, and DHCP -- as low-speed data signals become packetized to travel over Ethernet connections. The NP301 serial device server supports one RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 serial interface to one Fast Ethernet copper port. Each serial port supports four TCP or EDP session connections, so you are provided fast data signals over network devices while minimizing packet loss. The NP301 also provides supplied management configuration tools that are based on the Windows platform. Users can access these resources to properly manage and configure the device as the simplified settings are in an easy-to-use network management system interface.
The device's smart design can be used in harsh industrial environments as it can handle wide temperature ranges and voltages. Equipment and machines where serial device servers may be used include measuring instruments, building automation systems, environmental forces monitoring systems, and PLC control and management systems.
Improve the network capabilities of older legacy systems with the NP301 serial device server from 3onedata. Perform diagnostics and retrieve data with ease from your older equipment. Contact Westward Sales for additional product information.
