High-Performance Antennas Approved for the XR90 Routers

Wireless infrastructure requires dependable antennas to improve signal quality and data throughput. To meet this demand, Semtech offers a selection of antennas compatible with their AirLink routers. The following AirLink antennas are certified with the AirLink XR90 cellular router to boost cellular and WiFi performance. The XR90 offers fourteen antenna connections - 4x4 MIMO LTE on one XP cartridge (1104757), and Dual 4×4 MU MIMO Wi-Fi 6, GPS, and LPWA on the main unit. Four additional LTE connections are available on an additional XP cartridge, if purchased. All antenna connections use FAKRA connectors.

The supercharged AirLink XR90 is purpose-built for public safety and transit applications. The available dual-5G cellular radio and Dual 4×4 MU MIMO Wi-Fi 6 delivers flexibility for customized configurations. The XR90 is the highest performing, most flexible router in the Semtech portfolio. The mission critical applications it provides depend on a stable wireless connection, and as such, reliable antennas are fundamental to quality communications.

Multi-antennas, commonly known as combination antennas, have several antenna elements integrated into a single, hardened dome. A 13-in-1 multi-antenna is a popular configuration for the XR90. It consists of thirteen antennas – four cellular, eight WiFi, and one GPS. Other popular configurations are 17-in-1 or a 9-in-1. All Semtech AirLink antennas include low-loss RF cables as well as optional mounting brackets and magnetic bases. These accessories are recommended so you can install the XR90 AirLink antenna where you find the strongest signal.

Most of these antennas are IP65 or IP7-rated to prevent dust and water ingress. Our combination antennas are designed and built by top-tier antenna manufacturers and engineered to withstand extreme environments.
