High-Performance Antennas Approved for the XR80 Routers

Wireless infrastructure requires dependable antennas to improve signal quality and data throughput. To meet this demand, Semtech offers a selection of antennas compatible with their AirLink routers. The following AirLink antennas are certified with the AirLink XR80 cellular router to boost cellular and WiFi performance. The XR80 offers eleven antenna connections - 4x4 MIMO LTE, 5x5 MIMO WiFi, GPS, and LPWA. Four additional LTE connections are available on the XP cartridge, 1104757, sold separately. All antenna connections use FAKRA connectors.

The supercharged AirLink XR80 is optimized for fixed and mobile applications. The available dual-5G cellular radio and 5×4 MU MIMO Wi-Fi 6 delivers flexibility for customized configurations. The XR80 is ideal for Mobile mission critical applications in public safety and field service fleets, Fixed Wireless Access, SCADA, Edge and industrial IoT. These applications depend on a stable wireless connection, and as such, reliable antennas are fundamental to quality communications.

Multi-antennas, commonly known as combination antennas, have several antenna elements integrated into a single, hardened dome. An 8-in-1 multi-antenna is a popular configuration for the XR80. It consists of eight antennas – four cellular, four WiFi, and one GPS. Other popular configurations are 9-in-1 or 10-in-1. For XR80 router configurations without WiFi, a 5-in-1 4x4 MIMO cellular and GPS is an excellent choice. All Semtech AirLink antennas include low-loss RF cables as well as optional mounting brackets and magnetic bases. These accessories are recommended so you can install the XR80 AirLink antenna where you find the strongest signal.

Most of these antennas are IP65 or IP7-rated to prevent dust and water ingress. Our combination antennas are designed and built by top-tier antenna manufacturers and engineered to withstand extreme environments.
