The InRouter301 (IR301) from InHand Networks is an industrial LTE router suitable for the networking of unattended devices and sites. Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine to Machine (M2M) applications are more remote and diverse than ever. By wirelessly connecting systems such as ATMs, kiosks, digital signage, vending machines, and meters, owners can implement centralized management and control. Real-time monitoring, data collection, and diagnostics bring new levels of efficiencies and service. With one Ethernet port, Wi-Fi, and two SIM card slots, the IR301 includes the ability to backup and failover one WAN link to another. Should a line break or inadequate wireless coverage drop the primary communication link, automatic link-layer detection will switch to a secondary backup link. SIM failover, PPP layer detection, and self-recovery add to reliability and stability. The IR301 offers strong security protection with VPN, packet inspection, intrusion detection, ACL, filtering, and binding.

A full range of InHand management tools makes network deployment quick and straightforward. InHand Device Manager is a cloud platform offering remote monitoring, configuration, and management of hundreds of devices. You may set up a VPN tunnel between the client and a field controller, e.g., SCADA, upload software updates, remotely diagnose issues, and more.

High-Performance Antenna Options

The InHand IR301 includes one cellular antenna with a magnetic base and cable and a single WiFi antenna if this option is selected. In addition, dipole paddle antennas are available for no cost upon request (select the option above). Many come with low-loss RF cables and mounting brackets, allowing you to position the antenna for the best reception.
