InHand Networks InGateway 601 Intelligent, Industrial Gateway and 3G Router

The InGateway601 (IG601) from InHand Networks is a smart gateway combining 3G cellular routing, Modbus data acquisition, text (SMS) alarms and VPN.  Enclosed in a compact industrial-grade device, it’s ideal for remotely monitoring and managing field devices.  Through a secure VPN tunnel, administrators may check real-time status, set alarms, poll operational variables and debug remote PLCs and field controllers.  The IG601 is ideal for maintaining SCADA, PLCs, machinery, automation equipment, vending, ATMs, Internet of Things (IoT) and machine-to-machine (M2M) devices.

The IG601 ensures a reliable connection to the 3G network.  With internal automatic recovery and redundant failover, critical applications stay connected. A suite of VPN features guarantees data security.  The IG601 is not only a cellular router, but also an intelligent gateway.  It supports industrial protocols like Modbus RTU and TCP/IP, direct connect and IEC 60870-5-101/104.

Utilizing GPRS/3G cellular networks, the IG601 allows technicians to access their remote devices to monitor status, limits and operations.  It can send an alarm by text message or through the cloud to keep IT personnel updated and informed of faults and out-of-tolerance conditions.  The InHand Device Touch Cloud allows technicians to remotely program, monitor and diagnose field equipment.  And, InHand Device Touch software quickly establishes a VPN connection without any complex configuration or setup.

The fanless IG601 is ruggedized for unforgiving environments found outdoors and in heavy industrial settings.  It offers extended operating temperature, EMC attenuation, shock and vibration resistance and 15kV ESD protection on the I/O ports.
