InHand Networks' InDTU332 RS-232/RS-485 to Cellular Modem for CAT M1 and NB-IoT Networks

In industrial work, it’s not uncommon to utilize serial connections that need to communicate across standard and non-standard networks. If the location includes any level of remoteness, an industrial cellular modem might be the best bet. InHand Network’s InDTU332N will take a challenging communications problem and make it easy.

This modem is intended to bridge gaps. It has two serial inputs that transmit over GPRS or eMTC (enhanced machine-type communication) and NB-IoT (narrowband Internet of Things) bandwidths. It’s excellent for Internet of Things (IoT), machine-to-machine (M2M), and remote monitoring applications. Minimal operating and standby power consumption allows it to work tirelessly in the field for long durations. The supported management tools — which include a handheld configuration tool, Device Manager, and configuration utilities — make service and maintenance easy. The InDTU332 offers very reliable communications by utilizing fault recovery, link redundancy, and link detection functions.  Most of all, it’s been vetted by some of the biggest names in the business: Siemens, Schneider Electric, and China State Grid.

When you see the pure ruggedness of this modem’s design, you’ll know why it’s so trusted. It’s designed to connect directly to industrial protocols like Modbus RTU / TCP, IEC101 / IEC104, and TCP / UDP. While working with grid automation, it can endure extreme temperatures that rival the most challenging weather ever recorded on Earth. It’s highly resistant to electric surges and discharges.  With over 800,000 units deployed globally, it's a proven choice.
