Black Box EME1W1-015 AlertWerks Water Sensor - Works with Distilled Water

The EME1W1-015 is an AlertWerks Water Sensor with fifteen foot cable for the Environmental Monitoring System. The sensor contains microprocessor-controlled capacitance measuring circuitry. This is far more precise than measuring the standard resistance of water. The resistance of water can vary depending on the impurities in the water. Other resistance-type monitors are unable to detect the presence of distilled water because it has high resistance.

The entire circuit is encased in epoxy, enabling the detector to function while submerged in water. The Water Sensor will retain any error condition until it is read via an SNMP get. So, if a sensor encounters a critical condition at any time, it will report that condition before it returns to a normal state. The Water Sensor detects water leaks and flooding with a WET/DRY indication in software. SNMP polling via SNMP get is available. A Web browser interface is also available.
