Fiber Industrial MultiPower Media Converters, such as the LGC320A-R5, are designed for demanding environments including factory automation, building systems, utilities (power and water), and oil/gas facilities. Typical applications include LAN extension, fiber mode conversion, and Ethernet speed conversion. This media converter comea in a compact metal housing, suitable for standalone use or integration into a high-density rack mount chassis.
Seamlessly and transparently convert 10/100/1000 Mbps copper to 1000 Mbps fiber. This model require one or two strands of fiber. As a Layer 2 media converter, it automatically detects and adjusts to the copper side speed, offering a true plug-and-play experience.
Multiple power options can be used simultaneously to maximize redundancy, ensuring mission-critical applications stay operational. If one power source fails, the remaining sources will continue to supply power seamlessly, keeping the converter running.
Link Fault Pass-Through (LFPT) functionality can be enabled or disabled via a DIP switch on the unit. This feature combines TX LinkLoss (for twisted pair/copper interfaces) and FX LinkLoss (for fiber interfaces) between paired IMC Networks media converters. When enabled, LFPT passes a link fault through the device at each segment. When disabled, faults are no longer passed through making it easier for troubleshooting to find where the issue is. If a link fails on one interface, the media converter will bring down the link on its partner and pass the fault to the next interface.
The LGC320A-R5 Industrial MultiPower Media Converter is built for harsh industrial settings. When powered by DC, it supports an extended temperature range of -13 to +167°F (-25 to +75°C), making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications.
