Axiomtek’s GOT318WL-845 answers the question of how to bring a large-display with projected capacitive touch panel PC into the harsh industrial environment. This human-machine interface (HMI) computer is suited to handle the demands of heavy-duty industry, factory automation, oil and gas monitoring, and other use cases. Humidity and debris stay out of the system thanks to its fanless cooling and IP65 rated front bezel. Traditional computer cooling solutions use airflow to keep components at operating temperature.  This works fine in an office or home setting but not in a dusty factory or retail operation. The GOT318WL-845 is a hardy HMI computer, being able to withstand ambient temperatures between 0° to 50°C and relative humidity between 20 percent and 90 percent at 40°C. The available CompactFlash data storage allows the panel PC to handle up to 2G of vibration between 10 and 500 Hz.

The GOT318WL-845 is an excellent solution for implementations where plenty of screen real-estate is essential. It features an 18.5-inch touchscreen that illuminates up to 250 nits at 1366 by 768 resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio. The embedded computer's large capacitive touchscreen gives it precise control and allows for multi-touch interaction.  It offers a high-quality user interaction experience which is perfect for SCADA and machine control graphics.

The Intel Pentium N3710 processor brings 4-thread processing power at 1.6 GHz to the implementation. This embedded computer can support up to I GB of DDR3 RAM over a single 204-in slot. The system accommodates data storage in a 2.5-inch SATA and mSATA drives. If the touch panel needs to be installed in a location that can't be easily reached by Ethernet cable, the available WLAN antenna adds wireless network connectivity (optional) support via the single PCIe mini card slot.
