Axiomtek tBOX400-510-FL Train Certified Embedded Computer with Built-in 10-port Managed PoE Switch

Railway certified computers need to be versatile for passenger information, video surveillance, and control systems as well as reliable to endure everyday abuse.  Few embedded computers meet these demands, but the tBOX400-510 from Axiomtek is one of them.  This unique embedded computer integrates a managed Gigabit Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch, 7th generation Intel processors, and ruggedness to deliver an on-board processing solution for managing video streams and PoE devices.

Of the ten gigabit Ethernet ports, eight are PoE offering up to 30 watts each to power devices like security cameras, displays, and lighting.  The internal Ethernet switch is loaded with Layer 2 network management software to keep your network safe and secure.  Network redundancy, security, filtering, authorization, alarms, fault management, performance monitoring, logging, and backup are just a few of the functions it hosts.  The switch is easily configured using a web browser, command-line interface, or Telnet.

Passing railway certification isn’t easy.  However, this embedded PC is compliant to railway and industry standards, meaning it will mitigate vibrations, shocks, electromagnetic noise, and power surges encountered during train operations. It will also stand up to extremely high and low temperatures.  These rugged features guarantee the rough life as a railway subsystem won’t hamper performance.
