Passenger information systems, video surveillance, mobility control units and rest of the nearly unlimited railway applications are demanding.  But on a train, they also require hefty reliability and safety.  Few computers meet these demands, but Axiomtek’s tBOX321-870 is up to the challenge.  For performance, you can choose between a 3rd generation Intel i3 or i7. Each is capable of superior computing in an energy-efficient design.  The chipsets are bolstered by Intel QM77 Graphics, pushing the capacity of the tBOX321-870 above its counterparts. PCIe Mini slots, a SIM slot and 4GB of memory support the powerful processing and graphics. In addition, optional modules give the computer access to Wi-Fi, 3G, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Getting railway certified isn’t simple.  However, the tBOX321-870 passed EN50155 and EN50121 requirements.  The flange mount enclosure protects from extreme temperatures and power surges.  Choose from 24V or 110V DC operation.  The computer is also EN45545-2 fire rated for European safety compliance. It utilizes secure, locking M12 connectors for maximum stability. All of these rugged features guarantee the rough life of rail work won’t hamper performance.
