The rBOX101-6COM(ATEX) from Axiomtek was one of the first ATEX and Class 1, Division 2 certified, industrial computers. It was designed for locations where explosive atmospheres and hazardous flammable vapors and combustible dust are a real concern. Examples of places include vehicle paint spraying, turbine controls, chemical plants, engines, mines and flour mills. Not only is the rBOX101-6COM(ATEX) computer stable and safe in explosive environments, it operates in extreme temperatures. Filter circuitry protects against voltage and current spikes and electrical noise. In 2014, it won the Taiwan Excellence Award*.
The rBOX101-6COM(ATEX) is equipped with an extra low power Intel Atom Z510PT or Z520PT processor and 2 GB memory (sold separately). A full complement of I/O includes 6 isolated serial ports, 8 digital IO lines, 2 Ethernet ports, 2 USB and VGA.
To increase reliability, the rBOX101-6COM(ATEX) has dual DC (12 to 48V) inputs. Should the primary voltage source fail, power is automatically restored by the secondary source. Two watchdog timers are available to detect and recover from a fault. A DIN-rail mounting bracket offers quick installation into standard, industrial panels and enclosures. The system also complies with Safety and Electromagnetic interference (EMI) specifications.
The rBOX201-4COM computer runs SNMP V1/V2c and AXView software. AXView provides monitoring and remote management for Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) and Machine to Machine (M2M) applications. It offers security, SNMP, Modbus, TCP, SMTP, MQTT, Embedded Application Programming Interface (EAPI) and cloud integration.
A non-ATEX/C1,D2 version is also available. BIOS and hardware are identical except it may be configured with a 3G/GPRS wireless module and antenna.
