The PIM900 expansion board from Axiomtek features 4 programmable RS-232/422/485 serial ports and 16 channels of digital I/O (8 inputs and 8 outputs). The PIM900 slides into a PIM (Plug-in I/O Module) slot of the ICO500-518 computer and secures to the rail with thumbscrews. Serial port isolation offers immunity against electrical interference like transient surges, voltage spikes, ground loops, and noise. Four terminal blocks on the front panel accept 4-wire serial lines.
