It starts with the Intel Atom E3815. The hyper-efficient processor, backed by 4GB of DDR3L memory can reliably handle large data loads without spiking power consumption. The CompactFlash and SSD storage expand on that efficiency. To further save resources, the 2 isolated Gigabit Ethernet ports and optional 3G/GPRS wireless enable the ICO300-MI to unload more cumbersome processing tasks to remote servers.
Powered by Wind River Intelligent Device Platform XT v3.1, this small gateway can handle surprisingly large tasks all in an affordable and easy to use package. Being an industrial device, reliability is an equally important part of the ICO300-MI’s design. The DIN-rail or wall mount will stabilize the computer against heavy vibrations common to industrial workplaces. The heavy-duty housing is protected against large shocks and is rated for safe operation in extreme temperatures. The RTC battery support keeps the gateway working even when the main system goes down. And, all of it is supported with an optional 5-year warranty.
