Operations in both retail and industrial settings can struggle to find an embedded computer that's compact and sturdy enough to handle unforgiving environments.  Axiomtek designed the rugged GOT5840T-845 fanless, touch panel computer just for these situations.  This human-machine interface (HMI) computer not only withstands harsh working conditions, but it also packs plenty of processing power to run critical applications. It hosts the dual-core 2.48 GHz Intel Celeron N3060 processor.  Although it only needs 25 watts to run, it illuminates an 8.4-inch LED with a resistive touchscreen to 350 nits brightness.  This embedded PC embodies the notion that having a small "footprint" isn't limited to physical space. 

The GOT5840T-845 uses mSATA-based storage, which makes it great for high-vibration work environments.  It handles vibrations as strong as 2G between 5 and 500 Hz without a problem. Fanless cooling and mSATA solid-state storage removes all moving parts from the panel PC, increasing reliability. Additionally, the device's fanless cooling system gives it incredible endurance in high temperature and humidity environments. The touch panel can work under temperatures as high as 45°C and humidity as intense as 90 percent at 40°C. This high-environmental endurance stems from the aluminum back chassis thermal dissipation system and lack of internal airflow from the fanless cooling.  At just 1.8” (45 mm) depth and 2.9 lbs. (1.3 kg), it’s compact size installs easily in the tightest locations.
