When engineers need to marry IP cameras with edge computing, they do so with Axiomtek’s eBOX671-517-FL embedded PC with Power over Ethernet (PoE).  This rugged computer excels at machine vision, surveillance, video recording, optical inspection, and other high-performance applications.  It’s equipped with an LGA 1151 socket for 6th/7th generation Intel Core and Celeron processors (Kaby Lake/Skylake) and supported by 32 GB of DDR system memory.  Eight Gigabit PoE ports and three high-definition display ports boost its ability to consume camera feeds, process the images, and output key information to high-definition monitors. Two removable 15 mm high SATA drive bays and an mSATA expansion slot may be used to store video.  SIM slots for LTE communication, digital I/O, serial, and audio come standard, but additional interfaces may be added utilizing the five PCI expansion slots.

The eBOX671-517-FL’s reliability is perfectly suited for industrial environments.  It accepts 24 VDC power input and stands up to humidity, shock, vibration, and temperatures ranging from -40° to 70°C.  The fanless metal enclosure features an integrated heat sink and accommodations for flange or DIN-rail mounting.
