Fiber optic networks are often the only way to supply industrial facilities and fulfill industrial applications with the range and bandwidth necessary to do tough jobs. Unfortunately, many of the tools and devices that need to access fiber-optic lines are not compatible. If you’re interested in saving time, money, and labor to solve this problem, then media converters are the obvious choice. For the most vigorous jobs, Antaira Technologies makes the IMC-C1000-SFP.
This converter is rated for dual-rate 100/1000 SFP connections. It provides seamless communications to traditional devices via the Gigabit Ethernet connection, giving you the fastest possible data between the two forms. Compatibility is also universal, letting you run anything from legacy tools to the latest hardware on the same network. Its small, compact size was designed for control cabinets, machines, and industrial panels where space is a premium.
The IMC-C1000 is more than a convenient solution; it is built to last. Many monitoring and production environments are hard on technology. This converter can easily handle temperatures from below freezing to over 70° C. The IMC-C1000-SFP series includes a built-in “Link Fault Pass-Through'' (LFP) and “Far End Fault” (FEF) function. This feature offers redundant 12 to 48VDC power input and protection against reverse polarity and overloads. It is equipped with DIN-rail and wall brackets for ultimate stability. This product series supports DIN-rail, as well as wall-mountable orientations and has an operating temperature range of -10°C to 70°C.
All of this is backed by the legendary Antaira 5-year warranty, making it more of an investment than simply a purchase. It’s an easy choice for anything akin to extreme ambient weather environments, traffic control, wastewater management, power and utility monitoring, ITS transportation, security and surveillance, or factory automation.
IMC-C1000-SFP, Standard Operating Temperature -10° to 70°C
