The Axiomtek GOT-3840TL brings compact, cost-effective human machine interface (HMI) computer technology to space-limited applications.  It’s ideal for industrial machinery, transportation, and building automation. The 8.4-inch TFT LCD resistive-type touchscreen avoids the need for a keyboard and mouse to interact with the device. The screen features an 800 x 600 resolution and displays at 250 nits brightness. This panel PC embraces the concept of embedding with its 280 mm (W) by 69.3 mm (D) by 200 mm (H) dimensions.  It’s easy to find room for it in the tightest of operational conditions. Depending on your project’s needs, this computer may be installed with panel mount, wall mount, desktop stand, or VESA arm brackets

The GOT-3840TL utilizes a fanless cooling system which not only makes it quiet, but also helps it withstand unforgiving work environment conditions. Heat and cold aren't a problem: this HMI computer operates comfortably between 0° and 50°C. Additionally, it has an extremely wide relative humidity operation range from 10 to 95 percent at 40°C in non-condensing situations. With a traditional 2.5-inch HDD for data storage, this touch panel can work in high-vibration environments at 1.3G from 5 to 500 Hz. When equipped with the optional CompactFlash storage option, that resistance increases to 2G.  The IP65, NEMA 4 rated aluminum front bezel prevents ingress of debris, dust, and water.

The GOT-3840TL sports dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet ports on the bottom of the device for built-in network connectivity. However, the touch screen computer supports WiFi via the Mini PCI slot if it needs to be installed in a location that's not easily accessed by wired connection. The device also accommodates an optional fixed WLAN antenna for better wireless reception.

This embedded PC is a viable option for legacy applications that need to run on Windows XP. The device's AMD Geode LX800 500 MHz CPU, onboard integrated graphics, and support for up to 1GB of DDR RAM are well suited to run older programs. The computer also includes dual USB 2.0 ports for peripheral support and VGA-out for second display implementations.
