The 6001112 Sharkfin magnetic mounting base adaptor fits a range of sharkfin-style AirLink antennas from Semtech (Sierra Wireless). It’s a convenient and quick way to attach antennas to a vehicle roof or trunk top, and it's an ideal temporary mounting solution for antenna trials and drive testing. Using two heavy-duty magnets fitted to an aluminum alloy plate, it affixes securely to metal surfaces and avoids the need to drill a mounting hole. The 6001112 does not offer a suitable ground plane if you plan to attach an additional VHF or UHF whip antenna.
