The ProBee ZE10 is a short range ZigBee OEM module with integrated ZigBee core. Offering radio, antenna circuits and a high-level software interface, OEM manufacturers can easily and economically embed ZigBee functionality into their products. The ZE10 module is designed for low-cost and low-power wireless applications commonly found in advanced metering, home automation, smart appliances, health care devices, commercial building automation, lighting and climate control, security and telecommunication services.
The ZE10 is built from the Ember EM250 ZigBee core which has been certified by the ZigBee alliance. It uses the ZigBee 2007 and ZigBee Pro stack. Despite low power consumption, the ZE10 provides high performance. It transfers data at 250 kbps at a line-of-sight distance of 1.6 kilometers (1 mile). The ZE10 family offers a choice of several antennas.
The ZE10 starter kit, ZE10-SK01, is configured for rapid prototyping and software development. The kit includes every part you need to get started quickly: three OEM modules, development boards, antennas, power adapters, cables and configuration software.
