Public safety, transportation, and industrial networks require reliable, high-performing wireless networking solutions. For these demanding situations, communication professionals count on Panorama and their family of rugged vehicle antennas such as the popular LP-IN2382. This 4x4 MIMO 4G cellular antenna, packaged into a hardened surface mount dome, operates within the 617 to 3800 MHz cellular frequency range. It works with the latest generation of mobile cellular routers and modems such as the Cradlepoint MC400.
Although the LTE elements are designed for 4x4 MIMO communication, you may split these into two pairs of 2x2 MIMO for routers with dual SIM cards configured for failover. However, only one SIM may be active because of insufficient isolation between the MIMO pairs, and it is not intended to operate with concurrent SIM cards.
The aerodynamic radome is IP69K certified to protect against water and dust ingress. It’s built to withstand shock, vibration, weather, and extreme temperatures. The LP-IN2382 is ground plane independent making it suitable for placement on nearly any surface - conductive or non-conductive. The assembly fastens to the top vehicle or cabinet through a single mounting hole. Cables run inside the hollow threaded bolt for protection and a clean installation. Because the LP-IN2382 antenna offers reliability and tireless operation, critical networks rely on it for their wireless needs.
The LP-IN2382 is a kit consisting of the LPMM4-7-38 antenna and a complete set of 5-meter RG174 low-loss cables, which are ECE118.01 compliant, terminating in SMA connectors.
