It consists of 4x4 MIMO 4G cellular and GPS antennas packaged into a hardened, surface mount dome. This 5-in-1 combination-antenna operates within the 617 to 3800 MHz cellular frequency range. It works with the latest generation of mobile cellular routers and modems. Although the LTE elements are designed for 4x4 MiMo operation, it is possible to split these into two pairs of 2x2 MIMO for routers with dual SIM cards for a failover configuration, i.e., only one active SIM at any time. (Note: because there is insufficient isolation between the MIMO pairs, it is not intended to operate with concurrent SIM cards or aggregated data operations.)

The aerodynamic radome is IP69K certified to protect against water and dust ingress. It’s built to withstand shock, vibration, weather, and extreme temperatures. The LGMM4-7-38 is ground plane independent making it suitable for placement on nearly any surface - conductive or non-conductive. The assembly fastens to the top vehicle or cabinet through a single mounting hole. Cables run inside the hollow threaded bolt for protection and a clean installation. The radome includes five 1-foot RG174 low-loss cables, which are ECE118.01 compliant. The LGMM4-7-38 antenna offers reliability and tireless operation in the worst environments. That’s why critical safety networks count on it for their wireless needs.

The antenna includes 1-foot RF cables; however, this length is often too short for most installations, particularly vehicles. So for longer cables, consider the LG-IN2383 antenna kit which includes this LGMM4-7-38 antenna and 5-meter long cables (one cable for each antenna element) terminating with SMA connectors.
