Wireless connectivity is increasingly important for passenger trains, trams, and commercial freight. Train stock, way-side tracks, and stations must be properly equipped to handle the growing volume of data transmissions. When critical, time-sensitive data needs to be communicated over specialized rail frequencies such as the 220 MHz band, that’s where Mobile Mark’s Y6623D high-performance Yagi antenna comes in. This antenna supports PTC (Positive Train Control) networks at 220 MHz and provides 9 dBi gain over the 200 to 245 MHz VHF frequency range. It offers excellent protection against extreme weather and wind, long-term reliability, and corrosion resistance.
Rugged construction means the Y6623D withstands outdoor conditions and winds up to 125 MPH. The solid elements are welded to the aluminum boom, and the entire assembly is coated with UV inhibited polyester. The heavy-duty extruded aluminum mounting plate includes stainless steel V bolts for easy installation.
