The BD-5800 from Mobile Mark’s is a single element 5 GHz Wi-Fi blade antenna with 13 dBi bidirectional gain over a 5.725 to 5.85 GHz frequency range. With a slim, compact radome, it’s ideal for fiberglass or metal utility cabinets and NEMA control boxes. It offers outstanding electrical performance as well as a unique through-hole surface mounting base.
The BD-5800 comes with a direct N-type connector on the bottom of the unit. The base bolt attaches through a mounting hole that accommodates the WiFi connection. Two 5/8” studs on the base pass through separate mounting holes to help prevent the antenna from rotating on the surface. A gasket preserves the IP67 water ingress rating. The BD-5800 features a 50 Ohm nominal impedance, maximum power of 10 watts, and VSWR less than 2:1 over its range. The beamwidth is 40° for Azimuth and 30° for Elevation. No ground plane is required for operation.
