The InRouter915 (IR915) industrial-grade cellular router from InHand Networks features state-of-the-art routing functions and reliable, high-speed, and secure communications for remote systems. It is ideal for applications like machine-to-machine (M2M), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), smart grid, factory automation, intelligent transportation, vending, ATMs, and more. It is certified with AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile carriers. It is capable of efficient large-scale network deployment and management.
The IR915 features dual SIM slots for redundant 3G / 4G LTE plus Wi-Fi, broadband WAN, and xDSL interfaces. A stable data path is essential for remote, critical networks. With multiple wireless interfaces, embedded watchdog timer, link detection, and automatic recovery, the IR915 offers uninterrupted communication and uptime. Should the primary link fail, communication is automatically switched to a secondary link.
The IR915 provides comprehensive security to protect data and prevent unauthorized access. It includes VPN transmission, a firewall to thwart network attacks, and multi-level authorization. Protocols like IPsec VPN, DMVPN, L2TP, OPEN VPN, and CA safeguard data and transmission. RIP and OSPF dynamic routing protocols and DMVPN support large mesh VPN networks. With InHand Device Manager or SNMP network management, you can establish central management of widely distributed cell routers.
Using the InHand OpenDevice programming environment, developers can create custom applications. OpenDevice simplifies development and shortens the time to market. Currently compatible with Python 2.7, programmers may use it with InHand’s SDK to access APIs and software resources. The IR915 is also certified to Microsoft Azure IoT. These tools are included in the InRouter900 series.
The IR915 is entirely ruggedized for harsh conditions found in outdoors and heavy-industrial locations. The DIN-rail mount metal enclosure with fanless cooling offers a wide operating temperature range from -25 to 70°C. Built from high-grade electronic components, the IR915 meets industrial specifications for power surge, EMC, RFI, ESD, shock, and vibration. Along with dual SIM slots, the IR915 is equipped with isolated RS-232 and RS-485 serial ports plus 5 Fast Ethernet ports. GPS and WIFI are optional.
