Ericsson Cradlepoint L950 Cellular LTE Failover Adapter with NetCloud Branch Management & OBM

The Ericsson Cradlepoint L950 advanced LTE adapter and the NetCloud Branch Essentials plan provide a cellular WAN connection that integrates easily to an existing network. It is a simple addition that significantly improves uptime and continuity for business, retail, and branch offices. The L950 can establish an immediate network connection to get operations running while waiting for a wired connection to be installed or repaired.

Working in conjunction with an existing router or SD-WAN, the L950 adapter establishes a cellular connection based on established failover policies. It may serve as a primary connection to the Internet over the cellular network. Or, it may provide a backup or secondary means of communication if the primary or “wired” connection goes down. In this case, the L950 monitors the WAN connection, and if a link failure is detected, the traffic automatically routes over the L950’s cellular connection, keeping your network running seamlessly.

The compact L950 adapter is equipped with a Cat 7 modem, two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces with a Power over Ethernet (PoE), provisions for two SIM cards to connect to two carriers, and GPS.

NetCloud Branch Package

Ericsson ’s NetCloud Branch plan unlocks the power of LTE and provides optimal performance and reliability. It is a service-based platform that spans from cloud to edge to make deploying and managing a wireless WAN easier than ever before. Centrally configure, monitor, visualize, control, and troubleshoot your network from a web console rather than at the device.

NetCloud is sold in a one, three, or five-year subscription plan and includes 24x7 support, online training, support, and a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the L950. In addition, the NetCloud Advanced option adds features such as data traffic analytics, firewall, and URL content filtering.

NetCloud
Key Software Capabilities
The L950 endpoints with NetCloud offer a full range of zero-touch deployment, troubleshooting, SD-WAN traffic management, robust security, standards-based routing, traffic shaping, remote firmware updates, and VPN support.

Out-of-Band Management
To troubleshoot a router that isn’t accessible through the primary network, the L950 offers advanced Out-of-Band Management (OBM) tools so administrators can wirelessly connect to the router and other devices, even if the router’s IP isn’t available. This feature enhances uptime and reduces truck rolls.

Data Insights on Failover Events
Inside the NetCloud Health dashboard, view disruptions from failover events and quantified ROI in the NetCloud Insights report. Additionally, you can analyze and view service level agreement (SLA) performance, network status, uptime, cellular health, and Quality of Experience.

NetCloud Verify Mobile Application
As part of NetCloud, Ericsson ’s Verify helps installers quickly and accurately install the L950 for optimal LTE signal reception. It includes installation pictures, speed test results, and modem health metrics.

Contact Us About Data Plans

Enable your L950 with a cost-effective monthly data plan to ensure your router is ready to deploy. Select Verizon, T-Mobile, or AT&T, and the data plan size from 100 MB to Unlimited GB. You are billed monthly; there’s no long-term contract. Plus, manage all of your fielded gateways from a single cloud-based web portal.

You can purchase a SIM card from this page. It will be mailed to you in 2 to 3 business days. After you receive your card, sign up for a data plan at Mobility Help Desk. The set up instructions are on this page.

High-Performance Antenna Options

The L950 includes two universal LTE antennas. For mobile and industrial applications, consider the high-performance antennas listed on this page: 2-in-1 (MIMO LTE) antennas. Most come with low-loss RF cables and mounting brackets, allowing you to position the antenna for the best reception.
