The CBA550 advanced LTE adapter from Ericsson Cradlepoint, along with the NetCloud Service for Branch plan, offers reliable and secure communications for small and mid-sized organizations and retailers. The CBA550 serves as a primary connection to the Internet over the cellular network. Or, it provides a backup or secondary means of connectivity. The CBA550 incorporates an IP passthrough feature that monitors the WAN port. If the primary or “wired” link fails, traffic will automatically failover to 4G LTE to keep your network running seamlessly.
The CBA550 is equipped with one Gigabit Ethernet port, 4G LTE modem with Cat 4 speed, dual SIM slots with auto-carrier selection, and Power over Ethernet (PoE). Full router functions offer security and network management.
With intuitive point-and-click cloud management, the NetCloud Branch Essentials package includes services and support to improve productivity, reliability, and network security. It is a service-based platform that manages the CBA500 and its network from the cloud, making wireless WAN deployment quick and easy. From a local or remote web console, monitor, visualize, control, and troubleshoot your network and all endpoints. NetCloud offers routing, security, software-defined WAN, LTE management, and WiFi functionality. Cloud management greatly simplifies branch networking, offering quick deployment and a “zero-touch” configuration. It optimizes LTE connections to provide reliable and bandwidth-efficient communication.
NetCloud is sold as a package that includes cloud management, 24x7 support, and a Limited Lifetime Warranty on the CBA550. Choose from one, three, and five-year subscription plans. The NetCloud Advanced option is not offered with the CBA550.

Enable your CBA550 with a cost-effective monthly data plan to ensure your router is ready to deploy. Select Verizon, T-Mobile, or AT&T, and the data plan size from 100 MB to Unlimited GB. You are billed monthly; there’s no long-term contract. Plus, manage all of your fielded gateways from a single cloud-based web portal.
You can purchase a SIM card from this page. It will be mailed to you in 2 to 3 business days. After you receive your card, sign up for a data plan at Mobility Help Desk. The set up instructions are on this page.
The CBA550 includes two universal LTE antennas. For mobile and industrial applications, consider the high-performance antennas listed on this page: 2-in-1 (MIMO LTE) antennas. Most come with low-loss RF cables and mounting brackets, allowing you to position the antenna for the best reception.
