The TL400A 2U rackmount enclosure is designed to hold 16 RS232 RJ45 passive splitters of varying port densities. These RS232 RJ45 passive splitters are designed to permit multiple terminals to share a single modem. The passive devices are non-powered and transparent to data formats and speeds. The data from the modem is transmitted to all terminal devices. Only one terminal device may send data to the modem at a time. The Master Port is intended to be connected to a modem (DCE). All other ports are to be connected to terminals (DTE).
